Creative FX was asked to brighten up the walls of the ward, following the success of its beautiful decoration of the children’s ward at Princess Royal University Hospital, Orpington.
The ‘Safari Ward’ has been decorated using brightly coloured vinyl jungle animals and interesting facts to make the hospital a less intimidating place for the children. The jungle theme gives the ward a friendly and relaxing atmosphere to take patients’ minds off their treatments. For those who make regular visits to the ward it has now become a more welcoming and warm environment.
We added several ‘Did You Know…’ facts to help entertain patients, with lines such as ‘Did you know your nose can remember 50,000 different scents’. All images were designed and applied by the Creative FX team with particular focus placed on the treatment room where minor interventions such as taking blood samples are carried out.
